Illustration for De Adelaar en de Koning/ The Eagle and the King, a fantasy adventure book by Arjan Wilschut. The book was published in 2005, won an award (Het Hoogste Woord) in 2006, and was reprinted in 2008. It is available in bookshops, the library, and on bol.com

Het boek van Aderyn is a concept for a trilogy of fantasy/ adventure stories for young adults, written and designed by Arjan Wilschut. The first book, De Adelaar en de Koning/ The Eagle and the King, was published in 2005, and reprinted in 2008. Part 2 will be published in 2011.
In 2007, AW received a grant from the Dutch Film Fund to write a film treatment of the story.

Greek Mythology

Three-headed dog, Artemis goddess of hunting, a Faun, Zeus, Hades and Ajax. This iconic, painted style was developed by Arjan Wilschut and used for certain themes in a Children’s Bible, which were otherwise difficult to illustrate, such as: dreams, symbols or scary images.
